In July the X-Arcade™ was featured on HBO's™ hit series Entourage™, but if you missed it you can see it now. XGaming™ along with HBO™ is proud to present a video clip of the X-Arcade™ being played by Turtle who says "It's like I'm super-human... I know 250 bucks is a lot to spend on a controller". Futurama™ - Raiders of the Lost Arcade

Cartoon Network™'s Adult Swim™ cartoon Futurama™ does a tribute to classic arcade games with the episode "Raiders of the Lost Arcade". Many classic arcade characters make an appearance including Pac and Ms. Pac-Man™, Robotron™, Donkey Kong™, Q-bert™ and more. COIN-OP.TV Celebrates First Anniversary

September 2005 marks COIN-OP.TV's one year anniversary, and all content on the site is free and available for a limited time.  COIN-OP.TV is a web-tv show tribute to classic gaming based on the human side of arcade gaming. They'll soon be taking down older webisodes to make room for new ones - but fear not - plans are in the works to make a DVD compilation of 'season one' episodes.

Nintendo™'s Revolutionary Controller Revealed!

Nintendo™ revolutionizes gaming once again by taking a bold step towards a new way to interact with games. At this years Tokyo Game Show Nintendo™ president Satoru Iwata revealed the device that may change the way games are played forever. The controller, which looks like a TV remote control at first, acts like a magic wand capable of reading where it is in relation to the room and any movements in any direction, enabling users to move objects and characters in games simply by moving the peripheral.. The sensors read the pointer's every move in real-time space. They can detect up, down, left and right motion, also forward and backward depth. The controller's sensors also recognize twisting, rotating and tilting movements. In short, any motion made by arms and wrists can be translated to Revolution games. It can also be used in a standard gamepad shell for old generation games as we are playing them today.

Imagine using one as a sword to slash in a Zelda™ game, or being told to drop your weapon in a new MGS and having to actually lay the controller on the floor, or having to get close to the TV screen to open a door knob only to have a zombie jump out the door and into your face in a new Resident Evil™ game ! Play baseball with a bat, and Tiger Woods Golf™ games with a virtual club, or hold 1 controller in each hand to play a boxing title. This thing really captures the mind's eye with the possibilities.

This gamer is especially excited thinking of the way first-person shooters could be playable with a gun type controller using this technology. Imagine moving and looking with one hand, and firing at enemies on the screen as if with a light gun with the other!
